Booking records show that the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office booked 26 suspects in a sweep running over 3 days last week. The suspects face charges from pandering ( aka soliciting sex ) to drug and firearms charges.
This is the latest bust by the CCSO, the last of which was in June of this year. In that bust, 16 men were busted for pandering, with a host more being charged with prostitution and pimping.
Similar in both busts, those running the operation seem to have traveled here from Miami, FL, with the actual sex workers coming from local cities ranging from LaGrange to Atlanta.
While no official statement has been made by the CCSO, it’s believed that like the June operation multiple agencies helped in this operation and we believe, though it has not yet been confirmed, that several Human Trafficking victims were located.
Human Trafficking has become a growing problem in the Atlanta area and surrounding counties. Coweta County’s LEO agencies have stated that they are taking the problem seriously and operations, and results like this, show that.
