Investigators with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Samuel Ryan Daniel, of Grantville, for multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred in Moreland on September 30th, 2023.
According to information gathered by NCST staff, Daniel was the passenger in a vehicle driven by his girlfriend as they arrived at the residence of her child’s father.
When they arrived, the victim met the vehicle in the driveway when Daniel exited the vehicle and presented a firearm before hitting the victim in the head with it.
The victim was able to disarm Daniel, removing the magazine and round from the weapon. The two made it to the ground where after a short time Daniel was able to retreat, with his disarmed weapon back to the vehicle and the couple took off.
Apparently at some point while his girlfriend was taking him home, Daniel jumped out of the vehicle and started to make threats towards the victim. In response the victim, and his children, fled his residence and called law enforcement from a safe location.
CCSO Investigators were able to corroborate the victim’s account of the events and warrants were taken out against Daniel.
Samuel Ryan Daniel, 17, of Grantville was arrested and booked into the Coweta County Jail on October 18th, 2023, on the following charges stemming from the incident.
As of 10/22/23, Daniel remains in the Coweta County Jail without bond.
